The Cedar Falls Gun Club (CFGC) is the premier shooting facility in Iowa and the home grounds of the Iowa State Trapshooting Association (ISTA), which hosts the annual Iowa State Shoot. We provide a full complement of shotgun shooting activities for both serious competitors and those who just want to shoot for fun. Open for year-round shooting, our offerings include registered and non-registered trapshooting, using automatic traps and voice callers; recreational skeet shooting and sporting clays; and spring and fall trapshooting league competition.
Our local club regularly utilizes 10 of the facility’s 37 trap houses for trapshooting, with the remaining 27 houses being used by the ISTA for the State Shoot and annual youth competitions. We also host “fun days” sponsored by area businesses and organizations, and we encourage our members and the community to consider the CFGC for their employee outings, dealer gatherings, and team-building events.
The CFGC is a not-for-profit member organization with nearly 400 members, most of whom are life members. However, we heartily welcome non members, especially those who are new to the shooting sports or who have moved to our area from other locales. We especially enjoy providing a safe, supportive shooting experience for young people. We hope to see you at the gun club in the near future
